Today was a busy day. I had to get Ralph to the airport at 7:30 a.m., so from the time I got back (quarter to 8 a.m. after an iced mocha stop at Bibo’s) I cleaned, made appetizers for Cody’s Oscar Party, did some gardening and laundry. By 11 a.m. it was time for Daddy-Daughter Day, so my papa came over and, since we didn’t have any errands to run, he went with me to a freelance photoshoot thingy. Afterward we had a long lunch and then split for the day. I had to finish appetizers, take care of the grumpy-because-Ralph’s-in-Chicago puppy, clean up for the party and then head over to Cody’s. As it was I was about a half hour late, but it’s not like I ever watch this thing, so I didn’t care that I missed the beginning. The one thing I will say is that the crappy Pimp song was a guilt-ridden Affirmative Action vote. When I got home, I worked on cosmo’s resume for a little bit and did a light work out.
Yesterday I got one of my prints from AntiGirl framed and we finished putting the hardwood floors into the powder room. It looks so nice with the tile. The only other big thing I have to work on for the powder room is the projection of the facial features of Fornasetti’s “Julia” on the main wall.
I was hoping to work on the library as well, so that I could continue on with my paintings, but I didn’t have a chance to. So the current painting is in the corner, somewhere amid a forest of blank canvas, water color paper, cds, books, art supplies and, oddly enough, a can of clam chowder.
